Shape the future of these materials with your creativity
Context
Every year, tons of industrial materials are discarded often without any consideration for whether they could be shared, reduced, or reused.
This systemic waste isn’t just an environmental issue, it’s a missed opportunity for both industry and the creative world.
What if that waste became the resource for your next masterpiece?
At TRY AGAIN?, we believe materials deserve a second life through new perspectives.
This year, the challenge focuses on 15 million brand-new glass containers, produced by GSK and left unused due to a model change. Clean, intact, and medically inert, they now await a second life, through your ideas.
Could you be the one to reimagine them?

EDITION 2026
For its launch in 2026, “TRY AGAIN?” focuses on upcycling 15 million unused glass containers from GSK’s former syringe stock.
Can we use them as is in other fields?
Can we imagine new products?
Can we spark reflection on the material’s value?
We invite artists, designers, architects, and creative thinkers to explore these questions through Open Calls whether by developing functional, replicable products or impactful artistic pieces.
A recognised cultural authority, along with a production partner, has developed a framework for experimentation.
They’ve mapped the technical and logistical constraints to offer a creative playing field with real-world potential.
Selected projects will benefit from:
- Compensation: Each open call includes dedicated funding to support research and creation costs.
- Visibility: In 2026, we will be presenting (together with our partners) the collection of objects, artworks, and reuse case studies from our open calls.
- Collaboration: As a growing community, we actively foster connections between participants, institutions, and industry partners.
- Access to materials: Selected participants will receive free access to the stock of recovered glass containers. Both during this edition and beyond.
